Operation Courage Is Beautiful (OCIB) is an endeavor to make a difference in the lives of our military women through care packages specifically geared towards deployed female troops.   In the last 8 years, a record 216,000 women have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.   Recipients of our care packages have sent us messages in appreciation.

Since November 2009 just over 500 care packages have been delivered to our military servicewomen through Operation Courage is Beautiful.  Volunteers have donated countless hours to collect and sort items, open hundreds of pre-packaged items, package new shipments, and deliver packages with their custom slips and all. Our project is completely 100% volunteer and donation-based.

We need your support to fulfill our goal of sending 1000 care packages by June 2010.  A donation of $1000 will allow us to proceed in shipping approximately 275 care packages.  A donation of $2500 will allow us to proceed in attaining our goal of 1000 care packages (and possibly more) AND cover our storage and packaging costs. Operation Courage is Beautiful is a StyleSynch initiative in working partnership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3787 and the San Diego Armed Services YMCA.  OCIB has been recognized by Congressmen Bob Filner, Congressman Duncan Hunter and San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders.  The first week of November was declared by San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders to be “Operation Courage is Beautiful Week.”
