Letter from the Chair

I am so excited to offer you a meaningful way to benefit women in the military while participating in a fun community event. Please consider partnering with us as a sponsor of this year’s Operation Courage 5K benefitting Operation Courage is Beautiful in our 10th anniversary. Your generous support will help bring a little joy to our active duty, deployed US servicewomen through care packages geared for women.

This 5K event will raise necessary funds, with the help of people like you, to be able to create and ship care packages consisting of high quality women’s toiletries, feminine hygiene products, reading materials and more for service members deployed across the globe.

Our recipients often write back telling us how “surprised and ecstatic” they are about our care packages, citing they are “the best [they] have received,” and thanking our supporters for thinking of them as ladies. Requests for our care packages are made by the servicemember herself, a colleague, friend or family member via our online request form.

Our goal in 2019 is to fully fund and collect enough donations to send at least 1,000 care packages with a total weight of over 9 tons to deployed overseas women in harm’s way.

The Operation Courage 5K will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, California. The event will feature a 5K Run and Kids Fun Run with t-shirts and medals for all participants. Won’t you join us?

As an Operation Courage 5K Event Sponsor, you will be helping us raise the funds necessary to provide for the growing demand. In exchange for your support, our participants will have an opportunity to learn more about you, thus increasing your outreach, exposure, and goodwill with the community, especially the military community. Recognition of your sponsorship and appreciation for your generosity will be visible to thousands of people through email blasts, social media posts, press releases, and media coverage before, during and after the event. If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of being a sponsor or about our organization, reach out to us and get ready to support a very important cause for our women in the Armed Forces!
